Man, Oh Man!

So I know I said I'd be back sooner but things got a wee bit crazy! We've been in Garland, TX for a questionable number of weeks now and come every Wednesday we get told that we are FINALLY moving to Baton Rouge... and every week that turns out to be a slight stretch of the truth. We've been told (almost promised) that we will be leaving this Sunday for either Louisiana or Mississippi. I'm definitely ready to get out of here... nothing against you Texas but I'm in desperate need of some good jambalaya and jazz.
When we got here, we were told that there is no Wi-Fi in the apartments. I wasn't to bugged by it... and I'm sure I won't be until my dad gets the phone bill in 2 days and sees all the data overage charges... oops! I'm currently down at the local Starbucks, taking advantage of the internet while I can.
It's been a pretty productive day. Wanna know why? I've officially opened my EtsyShop! Woot Woot! You all should totally check it out! http://www.etsy.com/shop/SomewhereInSaltair
My books look pretty good on the interweb, don't they?
The other Vivint wives and I entered a raffle a couple of weeks ago that the other offices are doing. There's this team called Elevate that planned all of these activities to keep us excited and doing something. It's been pretty fun. The first raffle was a photo introduction contest. I came up with the idea for the photo shoot and put our photo together... this is the final product:
I thought it turned out pretty fabulously. It was interesting to see how the other groups that weren't with us interpreted the idea. It made everyone's individual personalities come through. They drew the raffle last night and we ended up being the second name drawn! Our prize is a breakfast/lunch or dinner out with the other wives, paid for by Vivint. I'm glad they are taking care of us.
I had one of the wives count how many places they've been... we counted 7 in the past month and a half! Isn't that nuts? Here is a close up of my group:
There aren't many of us but I'm pretty grateful of that. I'm not sure what I would do with a bunch of ladies around... probably panic. It's been a pretty wonderful couple of weeks. I saw my first firefly and got my first sunburn of the year. I don't see my husband a lot but when I do we are pretty darn happy. I've been trying to come up with projects to fill my summer with. Looks like I'm going to have to hop onto pinterest to find something.
Much Love from Garland!
